Who are we?
A Place in Zion is a non-profit, faith-based organization that identifies the holistic needs of underserved communities and aims to provide the best resources to address those needs.
Our Story
The seed was planted in 1991 with our incorporation. Like any other harvest, we just needed the right conditions to flourish. Those conditions would arise 30 years later, in 2021, as Hurricane Ida left the southeastern U.S. reeling. Seeing the devastation and lack of resources in certain communitites, we knew that we would have to be the change we wanted to see.
